Africa Cup of Nations champions the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon defeated Tunisia 1-0 in a friendly game in Monastir, Tunisia on Friday.

It was the first match for Cameroon since winning the Africa trophy.

Vicent Aboubakar scored the only goal of the game in the 14th minute to secure the win for the Indomitable Lions.

Carthage Eagles missed a couple of chances in both halves.Ali Maaloul was denied by woodwork twice in an entertaining match played in a partially full stadium.

The friendly against Tunisia was part of preparations for Cameroon ahead of their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers later in the year.

Cameroon who are five-time African champions will represent Africa at this year’s FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia  which will be their third appearance at the tournament.
