A showdown between Ivory Coast and Senegal  is the today’s highlight of various friendlies involving African countries preparing for 2018 World Cup and 2019 Cup of Nations soccer qualifiers later this year.

The two African football giants will be meeting at the Stade Sebastiien-Charlety in Paris ,France this evening starting from 10pm EAT.

Senegal will be coming to the match from a one all stalmate aganist Nigeria in a game that was played in London on Thursday.

Lions of Teranga showed an improved performance and going to today’s match they will be going for nothing else but a win in their second match after the Africa Cup of Champions which was held in Gabon in January this year.

Ivory Coast on their side had a friendly on Friday where they had a 2-0 convincing win aganist Russia.

Wilfred Zaha and Jonathan Kodjia were the men on target as the Elephants recorded their first win under new coach Marc Wilmots.

It will be a tough match as the two teams will be after a win in order to boost the confidence in the upcoming matches.

Senegal last met Ivory Coast in a competitive game in the 2013 during 2014 World Cup qualfiers which resulted to a one all draw.
