Sammy Onyango’s stellar performance in the Harambee Stars friendly game aganist DR Congo has stirred coach Stanely Okumbi to shower praise on the attacker.
Onyango earned his second cap, playing full minutes and made a lasting impression in the 2-1 win game on Sunday.
The Ulinzi Stars hit man made an assist to the second goal of the game and had sterling debut aganist Uganda days earlier.
Okumbi described Onyango in a post-match interview thus,”Of course his performance was brilliant. He has had two wonderful games.Aganist Congo he missed one on one but later made an assist for the winning goal and i think he had a mervelous day”,said Okumbi as quoted by Ulinzi Stars portal.
Onyango would be expected to play a pivotal role in Kenya’s quest to end their 13 years wait for Africa Cup of Nations slot.
