Former Football Kenya Federation boss, Sam Nyamweya has reiterated that as chairman of the body he was transparent and did not embezzle money meant for the organization.
In a press realese sent to various media houses in response to a letter sent to him by the federation this morning, Nyamweya said he did not receive over Ksh 2.5M from the federations accounts as alleged by his successor,Nick Mwendwa.
Nyamweya made the clarification indicating that the general assembly held by the federation on 21st March 2016 was just a month after his retirement from football hence questioned the decision as it seems to have taken an year to deliver the message.
The former chair further laughed at the decision to ban him for ten years indicating that he is no longer a member of the FKF and there is no way the organization can suspend an individual who is not on the role of the members.
“Having retired from football activities in the full glare of cameras before the whole world, there is no possiblity that i am still a member of FKF and it is therefore misguided for FKF National Executive Council to purport to suspend an individual who is not on their roll of members,” reads parts of the statement.
He also said that he will go on to courts of law as the federation never heard his part where he will sue for character assasination and damages.
