Doda Andriamiasasoa is the new Madagascar FA president on an interim basis pending elections next year.

Doda, who was the first vice president of the organization, succeeds Ahmad Ahmad, who was elected president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on March 16th.

The 65-year-old was confirmed president during Madagascar FA’s General Assembly Saturday 25th in Antananarivo.

Ahmad floored Issa Hayatou by 34/20 votes in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to end the Cameroonian’s 29-year rule.

Doda has served as Madagascar FA Executive Committee Member since 2003.

During his hey days, he played for Club des Finances. He formed DSA football club, which he managed as president.

Doda is a CAF match commissioner. His last outing was a CAF Confederations Cup match between Platinum Stars and Vipers SC in South Africa this month.
