Rail Club du Kadiogo of Burkina Faso have been fined by CAF for crowd trouble during their Champions League clash with USM Alger in March.

CAF has imposed a USD 30,000 (18 million CFA francs) fine on the Burkinabe champions after fans stormed the pitch during the 1-0 win at the Stade du 4 Août in Ouagadougou.

The Ouagadougou side have fallen foul of CAF regulations for crowd behaviour for the first time and will play their next CAF Confederation Cup fixture aganist CS Sfaxien on April 9th in an empty stadium.

During the encounter,RCK will miss the services of Kamou Malo whom CAF has banned for the next eight CAF inter-club matches after he was found guilty of insulting the referee and was considered as the main instigator of the incident.

However, the CAF displinary committee will suspend Malo’s ban to four matches provided that he is not guilty of such an offense for a period of one year.

RC Kadiogo have been given a period of next three days to challenge the decision before the CAF appeals panel.
