Indomitable Lions coach Hugo Broos has dispelled rumours linking him with a move away to South Africa.
Speaking at a press conference this evening, Broos said that he still around denying romours that he threatened to quit over management and funding problems in the national team set-up.
“There is no reason for me to leave Cameroon.Simply forget my departure and you should all ignore those people saying that i am applying job with other federations.
“I have already discussed with the president of Fecafoot for an extension,” said Broos.
The Afcon winning coach talked to the media after the end of a high profile meeting where he had been summoned to meet the country’s sports ministry and federation to explain why his team lost a friendly match aganist their rivals Guinea by 2-1 last week.
“I take this opportunity to apologise to Cameroonian people for the loss'” Broos was quoted by Camfoot News.
Broos has been tipped among the favourites for the Bafana Bafana coaching post thanks to his record of winning the Africa Cup of Nations with Cameroon.
