Zesco United head Coach Zlatko Krmpotic is confident that his side will have it easy against Enugu Rangers,in their Saturday’s 15 April CAF Confederation Cup return leg match.
Krmpotic, speaking to his club official portal, said that his side 2-2 draw away in Nigeria has put them as favourites to qualify for the lucrative group stage of the competition.
“This a good result for us but it is only the first leg.We still have 90 minutes to play and it will be different at home and I think we have the ability to win the final leg and qualify to the group stage,”he said.
Team ya Ziko had a scare in first leg game as they trailed 2-0 with both goals coming in the first half but they were able to hold the Nigerian side with two late goals sloted in the last twenty minutes of the match
Rangers found the back of the net through a penalty in 24th minutes that was nicely sloted in by Chibuzor Madu before Osas Okoro doubling the lead with a minute to the end of first half.
Kenyan defender David Owino pulled one back in the 72nd minute with Patrick Kongolo pulling the equalize in the 76th minute to put Zesco into contetion ahead of second leg.
The Zambia giants will now be out for awin or at least a scoreless draw for them to progress to the group stage that kicks off in May this year.
