Five players initially included in the 25-man list invited for an international friendly match aganist Malawi slated for 18th April in Machakos have been dropped by Harambee Stars coach, Stanely Okumbi.
The five are Boniface Oluoch, Ernest Wendo, Musa Mohammed, Haroun Shakava and Kenneth Muguna who are all members of Kenya Premier League side,Gor Mahia.
FKF in a statement explained that the five failed to show up during the first training session that was held on Monday April 10 in preparation for the encounter due to club engagements and will hence miss the friendly.
“Regrettably, five players namely Boniface Oluoch, Musa Mohammed, Harun Shakava, Ernest Wendo and Kenneth Muguna all of Gor Mahia FC, who had been called to camp by coach Stanley Okumbi failed to show up due to club engagements and will now miss the international friendly,”reads the statement.
The Harambee Stars will be using the match as part of friendlies being organized by FKF to help the team prepare for the 2018 Chan tournament set to be held in Kenya.
