Liberian national team coach former International James Debbah has drafted Gor Mahia FC defender Dirkir Glay in his squad to face Togo next month June 14th in the Africa Cup of Nations 2017 qualifiers, the player has confirmed to Soka25east.com.
Dirkir Glay was to leave for Accra Ghana to link up with the team on Tuesday June 2,2015 but he will have to wait till Sunday 7th after Gor Mahia’s Kenyan Premier League match against Tusker FC on Saturday 6th.

The mention of the name Dirkir Glay in Kenya brings smiles to many fans across the country and especially those of the biggest and most decorated club Gor Mahia.
The no nonsense defender’s hardwork finally paid off handsomely as he received his first ever senior team call up to the Liberia National team Lone star courtesy of his exploits in Kenya where he first made a name at Thika United.
Glay is expected to replace Solomon Grimes in the right back position or partner with team Dennis in the central midfield.
Liberia coach James Salinsa Debbah who played for PSG in his heydays will call up 40 overseas players and atleast 24 from the domestic league ahead of the Afcon 2017 qualifiers.
