Football Federation of Guinea Bissau (FFGB) and Morocco Football Federation (FRMF) have formally disclosed their technical sponsorship agreement where latter agreed to provide material support to both the national soccer team for the coming two years.
This was revelaed by Guinean football spokesperson Manuel Irenio Nascimento Lopes in a press conference on Thursday where he added that the Moroccan federation will cover all possible expenses for friendly matches between the two teams.
Lopes also took advantage of the press conference to deny allegations made by un-named former member of the federation’s ExCo that such a clause never existed in the agreement signed months ago between Guines Bissau and Morocco.
It remains to be seen how Qelmes, the clothing company that signed a one year contract in November last year to supply the national team kits, will react to the new development.
The national team, nicknamed Djrutus, will debut their new home and away kits during their run to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nation 2019, against Namibia in June this year.
Currently, the Guinea Bissau national football team is ranked 94th, according to the latest FIFA World Rankings released last month.
