Gor Mahia head coach Marcelo “Ze Maria” Ferreira has said he expects a tough challenge when his side take on Sony Sugar on Saturday in a KPL match.

K’Ogalo go into the game having struggled to win in their last game against Kakamega Homeboyz and Ze Maria knows very well that Sony would want to win aganist the 15 time KPL champions.

“I repeat that our biggest challenge is that whenever teams come to play Gor Mahia they try to be at their very best. That means that we cannot afford to be complacent for even one moment because that will mean we get hit. Last weekend we played a team made of quite young players but we barely survived”, said Ze Maria.

Ze Maria further revealed that he has urged his players to work hard and win by bigger margin in todays game for them to be able to challenge for the tittle.

“Sony Sugar team is the same and so the boys must work harder and win by bigger margins if we are to win the title this season,” Ze Maria added during an interview with KPL portal.

Gor led the KPL table with 9 points, one point above second placed Posta Rangers after four rounds of matches .
