Abdul Hassan came as a subsitute to score in the 90th minute to hand Tusker vital point against Ulinzi Stars in a 1-1 draw at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru on Saturday.

Ulinzi seemed destined for a win but Saruni let in Hassan’s seemingly harmless shot from distance slip between his arms, just 10 minutes after Stephen Waruru scored for the soldiers.

Both sides went into half time in a 0-0 scoreline but second half goals from Waruru seemed to gave Benjamin Nyangweso side a deserved win in an entertaining match played on Saturday afternoon.

Ulinzi with Godffrey Kokoyo playing at left-back were on top in the first half, new signing Baron Oketch seeing plenty of the ball and almost setting up Daniel Waweru and Sammy Onyango with crosses.

Samuel Onyango also had a shot blocked before the break, while Baron Onyango shot over. Stephen was a second the half-time substitutes, and broke the deadlock in the 77th minute, showing good footwork before cutting inside and shooting into the far corner.

Tangauzi had a chance from the counter in the five minutes to spare but his effort went wide after beating Ochieng.

However,Hassan scored into an empty net after Saruni let the ball off from a cross for the youngster to slap home the leveller.

Three minutes were added but Ulinzi could not do anyting to turn around the scoreline proving to be another frustrating day as they went home with a draw.
