Newcomers Nzoia United and Kakamega Homeboys face-off on Sunday at the Mumias Sugar Complex in the highlight match of the day as the Kenyan Premier League action enters round five.

Rivaly between two sides and what is at stake for both coaches promises to make this encounter explosive.

Nzoia United coach Bernard Mwalala despite losing by a low margin to Thika United in their last match, is still under pressure to make up for the miss and will be out to make gains at home when he takes the battle to his Homeboyz counterpart Mike Mururi.

Being at home Nzoia looks as the favorites  and this gives them a slight edge over their counterparts.

On Sunday’s contest, the Homeboyz tactician said in an interview with Sportpesa portal: “The team is doing well and we are really looking forward to the match. I am also happy to report that none of my players is injured and I hope that the situation remains the same in the days before the match-in sport, injuries happen a lot during training and we are hoping to avoid them.”

Chemelil take aim at Western Stima

After beating AFC Leopards 2-0 last weekend to move to position two on the log, Chemelil will be out to build on their latest repertoire when they play host to Western Stima at the powermen backyard.

Perched fifth on 7 points, a win will see them cut the gap between them and leaders Gor to two points.

For Western Stima they will be looking to bounce back after last weekend defeat in the hands of Posta Rangers.

After three matches,they are sitting on the17th position with three points after suffering defeats against Sofapaka and Rangers something their coach Henry Omino has not been happy with.

“Our match against Chemelil Sugar will definitely be difficult, but we hope to get something from it. We should work harder and try to get maximum points,”Omino said as quoted by Goal Kenya.
