As Real Nakonde are oriented of what Super League is..
Real Nakonde 1-3 Red Arrows
Red Arrows survived a nervy big support in Nakonde to beat Real Nakonde and maintain their unbeaten run in the 2017 season which gives Honor Janza some serious hope for his first season as Red Arrows coach.
Paul Katema put Arrows ahead early on in the first half to score his first of his season and slotted home a goal that perhaps helped settle the tence nerves of the visitors.
Real Nakonde tried to reply but Red Arrows made sure they corrected the complecency that was sighted in week two at home against Lumwana Radiants. There was no giving hope to the Mathews Njobvu drilled team.
If Red Arrows never quite reached the heights of their 2014 season when they were able to beat zanaco 4-0 , then Honor Janza’s side should still have had this game safe long before Lubinda Mundia restored their two-goal advantage.
Given Red Arrows had scored two goals in their previous two games – including 1-1against Lumwana in week two – the visitors could have been forgiven for approaching Saturday’s game with trepidation. In fact, there was no suggestion of that, although Real Nakonde deployed men behind the ball to stifle the 2004 champions in a first-half that proved very frustrating for the fans.
Real Nakonde reached half-time 2-0 and had much to do with the ultimately luckless and seriously resorted in reducing the goal tally, the best team of the half was undoubtedly the visitors who had the game in their hands.
At times Real Nakonde rode on luck to keep the score on 2-0 with Lubinda Mundia confirming with Honor Janza that he deserves the first line up. – notably one of the best players on the field on the day. The Real Nakonde keeper was also helped by some off-key Arrows finishing, notably when Lubinda put the ball wide after he had been set up by Paul Katema.
Perhaps Red Arrows were paged back and reminded that the game was still own when Danny Mathews Silavwe pulled one back and brought some panick into the Red Arrows team. That was the second goal that Mathews was scoring this season after getting the equaliser against Forest Rangers in Ndola.
But Stanely Nshimbi made sure Arrows restored their 2-0 gap after he got a third of the game and his second of the season.
According to a Red Arrows fan who watched the game in Nakonde, He doesn’t know how many chances Red Arrows had in the first half, but Real Nakonde goalkeeper saved everything. ” I think in the second half we played very well.” concluded the fan.
The game ended 3-1 and from here, Red Arrows would want to know that this is a tough season despite the win. Tthinking of winning games before off does not exist in football, in every game you must give 100% because in any moment the game can change as we saw in the second half.
One big follower of Real Nakonde Shazzy , gave up in the first half and concluded there was no way Real Nakonde would beat Red Arrows.
“I’m disappointed we haven’t got anything and we let them off the hook. It was set up for us to get something but I think we are lacking the striking force” Shazzy lamented.
Red Arrows end on fifth on the log while Real Nakonde drop into the relegation zone.
