BM: Share with us your coaching history in Zambia?
Chinama: I started coaching in 2005- with RIFLEMEN F.C. In 2006 we competed very well almost getting into Super League but missed out on the last fixture when we needed just a point and lost to Nkwazi FC, but we reached Quater final stage in Coca Cola,Mosi, Barclays and finished Runners Up in Army Commanders Trophy.
In 2007-We won the first 4 games and I was voted coach of the Month in division 1 south and was promoted to go to GBFC as Assistant to George Lwandamina
In 2010- I was appointed Assistant to Agrey Chiyangi at the same Team when Chicken left. We won charity shield and Runners Up in Barclays Cup under Chiyangi.
In 2011-Appointed Head Coach GBFC and my task was to save the Team from relegation 4th from the bottom with 9 games to go. I did the unexpected and won 7 games and drew 2 games and finished 4th on the The Table.
In 2013- I was appointed Green Eagles f.c Coach taking over from Chabby Chabala and the task was to take the Team back to Super League of which we won with 77point 10points better than second placed Nakambala
2014-7th position in Super League
2015-8th position in Super League
BM: How do you rate Zambian coaches with the way our football is going? Are our Zambian coaches safe?
Chinama: Zambian Coaches are safe as seen from the appointment of Zambian Coaches to various National Teams
BM: You are free now unattached! What happened?
Chinama: In 2016, I was replaced with Manfred Chabinga when the Team was 10th on the log.
BM: Lets come to the ZSL , how can you describe what you are seeing so far in 2017?
Chinama: 2017 Soccer Season is tough as seen from preseason preps and recruitment of players. No favourite team to win the title and too early to pronounce those to be relegated.
BM: Who is your best coach at the moment in Zambia?
Chinama: Coach George Lwandamina and Wedson Nyirenda are my best so far.
BM: Are we seeing you back soon on the touch line?
Chinama: Yes Bwezani am sure you will see me back soon, we wait and see
BM: Coaches are always the excuse link to the performances! what is it you coaches don’t do right? Are you not qualified?
Chinama: We are qualified no doubt about it.
BM: Your appeal to Excos
Chinama: The Executive committees should be patient with the coaches, there should be time for the coaches to make the team understand the systems .
BM : Your last comments
Chinama: I will soon bounce back .. God’s time is the best and thanks for the opportunity Bwezani and please continue doing the little you do for Zambian football.
