The latest FIFA/Coca Cola World ranking were released on Thursday and it immediately aroused mixed feelings as East African blew hot and cold with some dipping after months of inactivity.
Uganda remains the top ranked East African team at 71st while Ethiopia Walia Ibex rose to 99th despite failing to play in any friendly matches.
On the other hand Rwanda deepened to 94th while the biggest drop was reserved for Tanzania who move to a record low 127 as Kenya further moved down to 123rd.
Sudan have moved 3 places up to 108 places as Burundi dropped to 134th while South Sudan remained at 197th.
Somalia and Djibouti remained the lowest ranked ranked 206th and 207th respectively.
Algeria is still the highest ranked African team and first in Africa in the following sequence
