Gor Mahia full back Karim Nizigiyimana is among 35 call ups to Burundi’s national team for 2019 Cameroon AFCON qualifying tie against South Sudan.

The Swallows, who are gunning for a maiden AFCON appearance, will commence their campaign in group “C” at home against the Bright Stars on 9th June.

Karim has started the 2017 Kenyan Premier League season on a high and has for the third year in a row remained a cog in Gor’s squad.

The team is currently top of the KPL standings after nine rounds of matches.

Coach Olivier Niyungeko has also drafted in the team Bloemfontein Celtic forward Fiston Razak Abdul after sometime in the cold.

The former Sofapaka striker started for Celtic in a barren draw against Orlando Pirates in the Premier Soccer League on Wednesday night.

The reigning Rwandan Premier League most valuable player Pierrot Kwizera has also made the cut.

The Rayon Sports acclaimed net buster has 10 goals to his credit this season with less than five matches to the close of the season.

Tanzania based duo of Laudit Mavugo and Amisi Tambwe have also been given the nod by Niyungeko.
