Former Tusker Fc winger Joshua Oyoo is among five players who have been released by Kenya Premier League side Kenya Commercial Bank(KCB).
Other players who are parting ways with the Bankers include Benedict Owuor, George Ochieng, Daniel Onyango, and Duncan Wafula Head coach Rishadi Shedu said the move is aimed at reconfiguring the squad and maintain only players who can add more input in the club as the KPL first leg enters its final bend.
The five players have been playing for the team since the 2015 KPL season kicked off. “However, their performance has not been reciprocal to our expectations. We have mutually agreed to allow them find other clubs where they can fit in well”, said Shedu .
He said his club has opened talks with several KPL as it seeks to strengthen the team.“We are wishing Benedict, George, Daniel, Duncan and Joshua well in their football endeavours” he said.
Early in 2014, the Bankers sold their golden pearl, Tusker Premier League Player of the Year and Golden Boot winner Jacob Keli to AFC Leopards as well as Midfielder-of-the-Year Brian Osumba and Clifford Alwanga to Tusker FC.
KCB FC, which is sponsored by KCB Group, the biggest lender by assets in the East African region has not been impressive in their last six matches.They are placed in 13th spot with similar number of points.They will travel away to Nakuru on Sunday to face Ulinz Stars at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.
