Soka25east.com has reliably established that Kenyan Premier League side Gor Mahia are trailing APR FC’s holding midfielder Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza for a possible switch from the Rwandan Army side to the “Green Army” in the mid season .
Talks are at advanced level and if the deal sails through then he will join the Kenyan reigning champions before they resume training on 22nd June, 2015. At Gor, he will join fellow countrymen and former teammates, Abouba Sibomana and Meddie Kagere.
“I’m willing to join Gor Mahia. I want a new challenge in my career because I have been here for eight years. Gor is a big club and I would like to play along side my former teammates there and win titles. I hope my agent finalize the deal.” Jean told Soka25east.com on phone.
Gor Mahia Coach Frank Nuttal is expected to release six players as the KPL takes a mind season break and transfer window opens, though the Scotsman remains tight lipped on who he has lined up to replace the six. “K’Ogalo” is seeking to strengthen their squad ahead of a serious stab at the CECAFA Kagame Cup title in July and also retain the KPL title for the third time in row.
The 26 years old Jean Baptiste is a holding midfielder, he started his senior career at SC Kiyovu in 2006 before crossing over to rivals APR FC in the Rwandan League in 2007 where he has stayed to date.
The decorated midfielder has managed to bag 6 league titles, six Rwanda Cup crowns and two CECAFA Kagame Cup honors.
