The Super Eagles of Nigeria were on Friday night held to 1-1 draw by the Corsica national side in an international friendly in France.
The Eagles second-rate performance was rescued by Manchester City man Kelechi Iheanacho through a penalty in the 80th minute after Oghenekaro Etebo was brought down.Jean-Jacques Mandrichi has given Corsica 5th minute penalty lead in the game.
Hert Onyekuru and Ibrahim Al Hassan missed two clear chances having been denied by Nicolas Penneteau who pulled off a string of fine saves in the first stanza.
In the second half,Stephen Odey had a chance to level the matters with an intelligent loop into the defence but his shot went off target to the dissapointment of eagles fans.
However,with ten minutes to the end of the match Iheanacho converted from a penalty spot as Eagles tried to push for a winner but Charlero keeper Penneteau denied them a winner.
The Gernort Rohr tutored side will next play Togo in another friendly in France before playing the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the 2019 AFCON Qualifiers in Uyo.
