By Sports Reporter,
Defender Dennis Guma and striker Brian Umony are back in the Uganda Cranes fold after missing the final two 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The two are among the 26-man squad named by Cranes coach Micho Sredojevic to prepare for Tuesday’s international friendly against Gambia and the 2017 Afcon qualifier against Botswana at Namboole next Saturday.
Both St George’s Umony and Lebanon-based Guma last played for the Cranes away in Togo last November, a game Uganda lost 1-0.
The duo missed the final two matches against Ghana and Guinea as Uganda failed to make the finals.
Guma was dropped following a fall-out with his club that saw him stop training with them while Umony was left out because of poor form.
The summoned team has entered residential training at Sky Hotel. Notably absent from the team include Tonny Mawejje, suspended captain Andy Mwesigwa, Geofrey ‘Baba’ Kizito, Moses Oloya, Emmanuel Okwi and free agent Daniel Sserunkuma.
