Cameroon national team head coach Hugo Broos has named 23 players for the game against Morocco in a 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier set to be played on June 10.
Cameroon, who qualify automatically as hosts, are in Group B alongside 1976 champions Morocco, Malawi and Comoros.
Liverpool’s Joel Matip and West Brom Allan Nyom has not been included as the duo were two of seven players who told their country they did not want to take part in the previous international matches.
One of members of the 2017 Afcon winning team on Broos’s list is Christian Basogog and he is joined by Benjamin Moukandjo.
Servette FC’s Caestelleto Jean Charles,CSKA Sofia’s Nsane Pierre and Boya, have been handed maiden call-ups.
However, a section of football officials in Cameroon has rubished the methods used in team selection blaming James Kamga who also serves in the goverment and owns a famous football consulting firm for interfering with players selection.
