Johanna Omollo and Abud Omar have been ruled of Kenya’s squad for Sierra Leone crunch tie in the 2019 Afcon qualifiers with injuries.

The Harambee Stars are scheduled to take on the Leone Stars Saturday in Freetown.

The absence of Omollo, who was instrumental in the promotion of Royal Antwerp to the Belgian topflight, will surely be felt, however there’s enough cover in his role.

Abud, who turns out for Slava Sofia in the Bulgarian league, has enjoyed a great season with his club, and has been mainstay in the national team’s fold.

In his absence, Kolkheti Poti prodigy Erick “Mercelo” Ouma is expected to assume the role.

Meanwhile, four foreign-based professionals have reported to camp in Machakos, in the Eastern part of Kenya. They include Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama, South Africa based duo of Brian Mandela and Joseph Okumu and Erick Johanna of Sweden’s Vasalunds IF.

The Football Kenya Federation will host the team and the technical bench to a luncheon Wednesday before they depart for Freetown Thursday morning.

This will be the first meet between the two sides, which failed to qualify for the last Afcon in Gabon early this year.

Leone Stars’ last appearance at the biggest continental showpiece was in 1996 in South Africa, while the Harambee Stars have been out since the 2004 Tunisia edtition.
