The reigning Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia is in hot pursuit of the two gifted central defenders, Soka25east.com can reveal.
Brian Mandela signed three years contract with the South African National First Division side Santos FC from Tusker FC in 2012 and has been an integral part of “The Peoples Team” since joining.
Santos FC finished 13th in the just ended League and Mandela is currently in the in the country. He was part of the national team Harambee Stars’ squad that took part in the Memorial Cup in Rwanda last weekend but did not travel with the team to Congo for the AFCON 2017 qualifier match against the hosts on Sunday 24th.
“Yes, we would love to bring Mandela on board, his vast experience will be of great value to our solid back line. We are also closing in on Dennis Ochieng’ who is also a defender.” A source that did not want to be mentioned intimated to Soka25east.com

The highly rated central defender is currently with the FKF Premier League club Modern Coast FC. The “Pwani” side is placed 14th in the 18 teams league with 14 points by the mid season break.
The duo are expected to add steal in an already tight “K’Ogalo” defense that has only let in six goals in 15 fixtures, the two will have to battle it out for position with Harun Shakava and Musa Mohammed who have been brilliant for Gor in the central defense.
Other deals Gor is rumored to be chasing includes; Winger Paul Were formerly with Amazulu also in South Africa,the deal is almost complete and the player could sign after the Congo trip, midfielder Jean Bastiste from APR FC in Rwanda and Rama Salim from Coastal Union in Tanzania.

Gor Mahia strengthened their lethal striking force with the acquisition of Enock Agwanda from SOFAPAKA SC. The well build poacher known for his trademark powerful throw-ins put ink to paper on a two year deal whose details remain undisclosed yesterday.
“It has always been my childhood dream to play for Gor. I know I have not been at my best this season but I will work hard to regain my top form.” Agwanda stated after sealing the deal.
The 22 year old started his career at Koderobara High School in Migori County before joining Sony Sugar FC as a defender but he later transformed into a lethal striker for the Awendo based side. In 2012 he moved to the big boys SOFAPAKA where he has been since helping them win Kenya Cup “GOTV Shield Cup” and finishing second in KPL last year, he also finished runners up in the golden boot race behind Dan Sserenkuma formerly of Gor Mahia.
