By Bonface Osano;
Unsettled AFC Leopards striker Jacob Keli is in Mombasa for talks with the Dockers for a possible deal that could see him ditch the cash strapped “Ingwe”
Keli is among the players who refused to take to the field against Sofapaka in their last match of the Kenyan Premier League first leg over owed dues.
The former KCB poacher later explained in a Facebook post that he was nursing an injury that prevented him from playing on the day.
The speedy striker landed in Mombasa this morning and was recieved by Bandari officials after failing to make the Harambee Stars squad that travelled to Congo for an Afcon 2017 clash.
Keli has enjoyed a fruitful season at Leopards and has so far netted 8 goals by the mid season break.
If the deal happens then it could be a big blow to the coach Zdravko Logarusic side that is already struggling to contain mass exodus of top players.
The dire financial situation at the den has seen a good number of players openly threaten to quit the club.
Striker Karim Ndungwa the hero in the Sofapaka match may not rejoin the den from home in Uganda after his landlord locked him out of his Nairobi apartment over unpaid rent.
