Sudan giants Al Merrikh came from a goal down to beat their Mozambique counterparts Ferroviario de Beira 2-1 in a 2017 CAF Champions League Group A match staged at the Khartoum Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The visitors opened the scoring through Maninho in the 17th minute; a powerful shot from a set-piece getting the better of the Al Merreikh goalkeeper.
Al Merreikh, though, hit back in the second stanza through Salhadeen from a free kick, providing a composed finish to level matters on 53rd minute.
The home side hit the second in 70th minute, with Al Merreikh defender slotting in from close range after the Beira shot-stopper failed in his attempt to punch the ball from a powerful cross.
