Livepool have completed the signing of Mohamed Salah from Roma.
The Egyptian international signs for a club record fee of £39million, committing himself to the Reds until 2021.
Still just 25-years old, Salah becomes the first major signing for Jurgen Kloop coached side. His four- year contract with Livepool is worth £90,000 a week and he becomes the most expensive signing in the club history, overtaking the £35m paid to Newcastle United for Andry Carool in January 2011.
Reds were rumoured to be interested in a move last summer, but the Egyptian joined Chelsea where he had a bad season but his career has been good at Serie A with Fiorentina, where he spent six months on loan before joining Roma.
His consistent displays in the Roma engine room were enough to convince Liverpool to sign Salah, as they look build on last season’s title challenge aim to win the thing next time around.
In an interview with Liverpool’s official site, Salah promised to do great things to the club.
“I’m very excited to be here.I’m very happy.
“I wil give 100 per cent and give everything for the club.I really want to win something with the club,”said Salah.
He will take number 11 shirt as indicated by the photos shared by the club at Anfield.
