Immediate Sofapaka and now Mamelodi Sundowns player Adoul Razak Fiston proved why he is ripe for the Brazilians as he scored for his country Burundi an equalizer in their 1-3 loss to Senegal yesterday in an AFCON 2017qualifier match at the Leopold Sedor Sengor Stadium in Dakar.
Senegal were the first to shake the net when Mouusa Konate scored from the spot in the 25th minute of the game for a half time break.
On resumption the Mamelodi new man scored in the 59th minute to draw level before Stoke City’s Mame Biram Diouf restored Senegal’s lead.
Southampton’s danger man Sadio Mane scored in injury time to make the scores beyond Burundi’s reach.
This was after a series of come back from Burundi.
The other teams in that group is Niger and Namibia who are set to play today in Niamey today.
Burundi host Niger next in Bujumbura while Senegal travel to Windhoek to meet Namibia in September.
In other matches played yesterday Burkinafaso edged Comoros 2-0 in Ouagadougou while Algeria crushed Seychelles 4-0 in Blida.
The biggest win yesterday saw Cape Verde demolish Sao Tome and Principe 7-1 in Praia while Nigeria endured defensive tactics by Chad to win 2-0.New boys South Sudan lost 2-0 to Mali in Bamako.
