Kenya Harambee Stars and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama will be in the country in July to play two charity matches on invitation of Uganda’s music icon Eddy Kenzo.
The two charity matches will be played in Masaka and Kampala with proceeds aimed at helping out the ailing football legends and a charity organization.
This was confirmed by Kenzo who also asked fans to come and witness the match and support the charity cause.
“I am privileged to inform the general public especially the football family that our brother Victor Wanyama will visit Uganda at the start of July.
“He will play in two charity matches in Masaka and Lugogo with proceeds aimed at helping out the ailing football legends and a charity organization,”Kenzo told Airtel Uganda Football.
Already the venues of the matches have been determined with Masaka Recreational Stadium hosting the first game on the 7th July 2017 while in Kampala, the encounter will be at Phillip Omondi Stadium.
Wanyama will be joined by Uganda’s retired football legends namely Sulaiman Mutyaba, Hassan Mubiru, David Obua, Steven Bengo, Hakim Magumba, Paul Mukatabala, Edward Kalungi who will take to the field alongside some active players as Saddam Juma, Tonny Mawejje and others.
