Rwanda coach Antoine Hey has today named a squad of 22 for CHAN 2018 tie away to Tanzania at CCM Kirumba Stadium 15th July.

A host of players who missed the Amavubi’s last month outing to the Central Africa Republic for the 2019 AFCON qualifiers have made the cut.

They include APR FC’s Yannick Mukunzi and Mugisha Gilbert of Pepinieres FC.

Hey laments lack of proven strikers in the absence of the foreign based professionals like Danny Usengemana.

“We don’t have many best strikers inside the country. You know we don’t have Danny Usengemana and so I managed to open doors to players like Mubumbyi Bernabe and Mugisha Gilbert,” the German tactician said.

CHAN is played strictly by home based professionals. Kenya will host the 2018 edition – becoming the second East African country to stage the biennial continental tournament after Rwanda 2016.
