Former Sunderland and Everton,Steve Pienaar has joined Absa Premiership side Bidvest Wits.
The 35-year-old joins Wits as a free agent after he was released by Sunderland at the end of the season.
This was announced by Wits on their official Twitter handle saying,
“The Clever Boys are pleased to welcome Steven Pienaar to the family @therealstevenpi #NewSigning#TransferNews.”
Pienar spent 16 and half years of his career in Europe and was linked with numerous clubs at home after England Premier Legaue departure.
Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City were among the clubs that were chasing for his signature.
