Ten times Kenyan Premier League champions Tusker FC has strengthened their goal keeping department by signing Alagie Nyabally from Real De Banjul of Gambia.
The 23 years old Gambian international signed a loan deal that will keep him at the Ruaraka based side till June 30th 2018.
“I have always wanted a new challenge for many years and it’s finally a dream for me to move away from Gambia and to play professional football elsewhere.” Alegie was quoted on Banjul’s official portal.
Nyabally moved to Banjul in 2012 from Bakau United in the Gambian League. At Tusker he will find stiff competition in Martin Musalia who was the first choice keeper in Tusker’s last match of KPL first leg against Gor Mahia, Musalia benched rookie Farouk Shikalo who has since been dropped from the squad.
Real President happy
Real President William Abraham could not hide his joy seeing his captain join professional ranks, “It’s with great delight that we have been able to move Nyabally away from our league into a professional one. We all know how difficult it is to move a goalkeeper in football but we are glad the Tusker move materialized.”
Gambians in KPL
Alagie Nyabally will find company in fellow country man Matarr Nyan who is already with Tusker FC. Another Gambian playing in Kenyan Premier League is Ebrima Sanneh who turns out for City Stars.
