Dylan Kerr, the new Gor Mahia coach jetted into the early Sunday morning to begin his tenure at the helm of the Kenya giants.
Kerr, 50, landed the job which is regarded as the most demanding in the Kenyan Premier League Wednesday after a rigorous vetting process.
He piped former Italy international Stefano Maccoppi who was his main challenger to land the role that was left vacant by Brazilian Jose Marcelo Ferreira who joined KF Tirana in Albania.
Kerr will watch the team play Bandari FC in the GoTV Shield in Thika later today. He will then lead the team to Tanzania where they will play Premier League side Everton in a friendly.
Gor Mahia are currently joint top of the KPL with defending champions Tusker FC. They are however winless in two outings since Ferreira’s departure.
Kerr will be expected to reclaim the KPL title which Gor lost to Tusker last year and prepare the team for continental assignment in 2018.
