Nigerian-born defender Ola Aina has joined Hully City on a season long loan from English Premier League champions, Chelsea.
Tigers announced the loan agreement for the 20-year-old before the team departed to Portugal for a pre-season training camp.
“I’m very excited to be here and it is the start of a new chapter in my career. I just want to hit the ground running,” Aina told Hull’s website.
Aina, who was raised in South London, has represented England at under-16, U-17, U-18, U-19 and U-20 level although he recently pleged his international future to Nigeria.
He has been with the Blues since he was a schoolboy, and has tasted plenty of success while coming up through the ranks.
Aina was involved in two FA Youth Cup triumphs, as well as winning the UEFA Youth League two years on the bounce.
