Singida United have signed Rwanda international and APR FC defender Michel Rusheshanga on a two-year deal for $42,000.

Michel was Tuesday unveiled alongside fellow international Danny Usengemana who had earlier crossed over from Police FC for $100,000 over the same contract period.

Danny scored 19 goals for the men in uniform – finishing top scorer in the 2016/17 Rwandan Premier League for the second season running.

Despite relinquishing the league title to bitter rivals Rayon Sports, Michel remained a cog in APR’s backline – guiding them to the Peace Cup glory and a spot in the CAF Confederations Cup next year.

He won best goal of the season award during the league’s gala night held on Sunday in Kigali.

Singada have sent shockwaves in the Tanzania’s footballing scene as they continue to break the bank to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

They already have within their arsenal Uganda Cranes full back Shafik Batambuze among other foreigners.

The team is handled by former Yanga SC coach Dutchman Hans Van der Pluijm.
