Zambia interim Coach George Lwandamina has finally named his finest 18-man sqaud for the 2016 CHAN qualifier match against Namibia this weekend in Windhoek.

Ndola based Zesco United has surpassed a club record by producing a total of five players, which is the highest that a club has contributed to the Zambian National team

Lwandamina who doubles up as Zesco coach has dropped   Zanaco duo of goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata and Moses Phiri, Nakambala Leopard’s Webster Mulenga, Boyd Mkandawire of Napsa Stars, Benedict Chepeshi and Shadreck Malambo of Red Arrows.

Danny Munyao, Jacob Banda, Donashano Malama, Chris Munthali, Fackson Kapumbu, Kondwani Mtonga, Buchizya Mfune, Bronson Chama, Paul Katema, Jack Chirwa, Allan Mukuka, Justin Zulu, Charles Zulu, Patson Daka, Jimmy Ndlovu, Patrick Ngoma, Winstone Kalengo, Jackson Mwanza.

Meanwhile, The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) says it wants to engage a coach who will take the Chipolopolo to higher heights.
FAZ head of club licensing Erick Mwanza said in Lusaka that the national soccer governing body wants to engage a coach with the right credentials.
Mwanza said FAZ is quoting several European coaches for the vacant position which is held temporarily by Zesco Coach

“We want to pick a coach who will steer Zambia to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations finals and challenge for the title. We also want a coach who will mould a squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. As you know we have never qualified for the World Cup,” he said. Mwanza said FAZ wants a coach who will fill the profile of the 2012 African champions.

“We have young and experienced players who need a push to reenergize them,” he said.
The new coach will replace Honour Janza, who was dismissed last week and replaced by George Lwandamina of Zesco United on an interim basis
