Nigeria defender Billy Atiemwen has joined Turkish side Manisaspor on a one year deal.
He signs from another Turkish side Rizerspor for a undisclosed fee in a deal that has an option of extension.
According to the club’s president Abdullah Mergen his technical team is much delighted that they have finally signed Atiemwen.
Mergen went on to praise the player for his technical abilities saying that the club has hopes that he will perform well.
“Atiemwen is a player we wanted in our team since last season, He’s a very good player. We have a lot of faith that he will score goals and make assists. Atiemwen will adapt quickly to Manisaspor,” he remarked.
On his side Atiemwen said he is delighted to join Manisaspor, a club he acknowledged that had be trailling him for some time before signing him this morning.
“Manisaspor has had a long interest in me. I really wanted to come here,” he said.
“The serious interest of the president and the board of directors also helped me to decide.
“I will do my best to take Manisaspor back to where they belong.”
