By Staff Reporter,
Tanzanian Football Federation(TFF) yesterday announced the sacking of coach Mart Nooij after a spate of poor perfomances that raised hue and cry from the fans.
In a terse statement made by TFF President Jamal Malinzi he alluded to the fact that Nooij had failed to meet expectations immmediately after Taifa Stars were handed a 3-0 beating at home at the hands of Uganda Cranes in a CHAN 2016 qualifier played in Zanzibar
“TFF today announces the termination of employment of current coach Mart Nooij together with his entire technical bench with immediate effect following the spate of poor results involving the national team Taifa Stars ”
Nooij has handly seen any win for the Tanzanian’s as the down spiral begun at the Cosafa cup where they lost all their three matches .
Last week in an Afcon 2017 qualifier Egypt handed Taifa Stars a 3-0 beating followed up by yesterday’s 3-0 thrashing by neighbours Uganda Cranes.
