Kenya U20 women team will fly out of the country to Botswana on Wednesday, July 19 for the Fifa U20 Women’s World Cup qualifier aganist Botswana set to be played on Friday 21st July 2017 at the Lobaste Sports Complex in Gaborone.
The Harambee Starlets have been camping in Machakos since July 9 and concluded their preparations yesterday with the naming of the final 20-player squad.
The roster includes experienced Corazone Aquino who has been handed the captain armband and Wiyeta Girls’ Martha Amunyolete who was the top scorer at the just concluded Airtel Rising Stars schools ball games.
Defenders Wincate Kari as well as Vivian Nasaka have also earned a place in the squad and are likely to earn permanent slots in the team.
The second leg will be played on August 5, 2017, at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. The winner of the two legged preliminary round fixture will then face Ethiopia in the first round
