Olympique Lyon are in talks with Guizhou Hengfeng Zhicheng over a move for Kenyan forward Michael Olunga.
OL boss Bruno Génésio is keen to bolster his forward options, and reports in Kenya reveal he has pinpointed the 23-year-old as a potential recruit.
Olunga was key figure at his former Swedish team IF Djurgardens where he scored vital goals before signining for Zhicheng but his four month stay in China stalled.
A Kenyan based online publication Nairobi News indicate that Lyon are insisting on a six-month loan and later make it a permanent move.
“Lyon want a free six month loan, and only want to assist Zhicheng pay a percentage of player’s (Sh10 million) monthly salary.
“Zhicheng are demanding a transfer fee for the loan and the interested club to pay his salary in full,”claims the source as quoted by the publication.
Russian side CSKA Moscow, Turkish outfit Galatasaray alongside an unnamed Belgium clubs are also intrested with the Kenyan international services.
