The 29 years old Kenyan international striker formerly of El Merreikh, Sudan, yesterday, Tuesday 21st July 2015, signed a one year deal with the Chamazi side in a deal believed to be worth a fortune.
The player has been training with the Tanzania money bags since Saturday 18th July, impressing Azam FC head Coach Stewart Hall who has been hunting for a sharp finisher ahead of the 2015/16 Tanzania Premier League season which kicks off in August.
“Kenyan international striker Allan Wanga has signed a one year contract this afternoon with Azam FC and joins the club from Al Merreikh of Sudan,” the club declared on their official twitter handle on Tuesday.
The prolific striker was previously linked with a move to South African top league side Bidvest Wits but the deal failed to materialize,as the two parties failed to agree on personal terms, it also became difficult for the player to acquire work permit.
Wanga, however, will not feature for Azam in the ongoing KAGAME Cup since his was not registered for the tournament, the team is already through to the last eight after two wins.
