The President of Burkina Faso Roch Marc Christian Kaboré has met Burkinabe footballer Jonathan Zongo in Spain.

Zongo suffered a muscle tear during Africa Cup of Nations group match aganist Gabon in Libreville in January this year.

Burkina Faso Ministry of Sports however could not provide much details on the visit but sources close to the player say that the President encouraged the player as he continues with rehabilitation.

Zongo is recovering after he was succesfully operated upon six months ago.

Public Health Ministry facilitated the player transfer from Liberville hospital emergency unit through the orders of the President.

The goverment of Burkina Faso is footing the player bills in Spain and the player is expected to return back to the game a month from now.
