Mathare United have blamed poor officiating in their one-all draw SportPesa Premier League match against Kakamega Homeboyz played on Saturday 29th July at Mumias Complex.

In a post on their official facebook page,the club has expressed unhappiness after the match against Homeboyz stating that they were meant to win were it not for the favours from referee who awarded a dubious penalty to Kakamega Homeboyz.

“Biased officiating by (referee) Nyabera Libese denied the lads maximum points at the Mumias Complex in a Round 17 match against Kakamega Homeboyz that ended in a one all draw,”reads the post.

The slum boys opened the scoring through Chris Ochieng’ in the 71st minute before Wycliffe Ochomo restored parity in the 88th minute after converting a penalty awarded by Nyabera.

The two sides will again meet in the second leg tie slated for Wednesday 2 August.
