Cameroon CHAN team beat Equatorial Guinea 2-1 in a international friendly match at Stade Militarie de Younde, on Sunday.
Mesi Bouli and Frantz Pangop scored for the home team, while Oba Asu Pendro netted Equatorial Guinea’s goal.
Both sides were using the match to prepare for 2018 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) finals that will be held in Kenya.
Rigobert Song’s team started strongly but it was the visitors who took the lead as early as the 11th minute when youngsters Fede Obama and Saulo Coco combined well to set up in-form Pedro.
Obama sent a well-placed pass to Coco from the left wing, and the latter eliminated two Cameroon defenders before laying the ball for Pedro who found the back of the net with a cool finish.
After three minutes, the home team took control of the proceedings and scored a deserved equaliser in the 14th minute through Messi Bouli shot after Nzalang defenders failed to clear the ball.
Both teams play this match to prepare for 2018 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) third-round qualifiers finals where Cameroon qualified after beating SaoTome with Equatorial Guinea getting a walkover after Gabon failed to send a team to Malabo.
After conceding the goal, goalkeeper Oscar Cambio came to Nzalang rescue on four occasions in one on one situations against Moudongo and Fabrice Fosso.
Indomitable Lions then took the lead five minutes to the break with Union FC forward Frant Pangop slotting in home a beautiful strike.
Equatorial Guinea dominated the second half but Pedro Asu failed to maximise several chances. The youngster nearly netted the equalider in the 75th minute heading wide a well-taken free kick by Federico Papa.
Cameroon defended well in the last fifteen minutes to deny the visitors whom last weekend were held to another loss by Benin in another international friendly.
