Could Baissama Sankoh back on the Guinea national team?
Not likely but on Monday,the Guingamp defender told France Bleue that he would not rule it out.
The grumble between the defender and coach Kanfory Bangoura seems to have ended almost eleven months after the player revealed he will never play under the coach again.
The pair are believed to have got a misunderstanding in October 2016 during an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier aganist DR Congo and Baissama refused to shake hands with the coach when he was substituted.
In an interview with the publication, the 28-year-old admitted that if he felt like could be an assest to the Syli Nationale,he would not turn down a call from head coach Bangoura.
“I have not been in the team for a few months but I am potentially available for selection. For the moment I do not think about going back. There are still some non-sport issues in the technical bench. It is complicated. For now, I do not think too much but I’m not closed, “he insisted as per French translation.
Baissama has not been at his best at the club this season due to an injury and so far he has not played any competitive match this season.
“It’s always frustrating to get to a club and get hurt quickly. I have done everything in training to show that I need my place in first team. That’s what I’m going to do every day until I get back into good shape. “
