Group A served up a high scoring encounter as the Zambia National Women’s football team beat Malawi Women’s football team 6-3 at Barbourfileds Stadium, Bulawayo in the Cosafa Women’s Championship taking place in Zimbabwe.
Zambia’s star players Barbra Banda and Misozi Zulu scored a brace each while Noria Sosala and Rachael Nachula contributed a goal each.
Malawi’s three goals came from Tabitha Chawinga two of those coming in the first half.
Zambia showed total dominance in the match with Misozi Zulu and Noria Sosala doing the business for Shepolopolo.
Zambia led at the break 3-2 thanks to Barbara Banda’s brilliant performance in the first half.
Nachula Rachael also came on as a substitute to complete a comfortable 6-3 win.
Great performance all round, as Barbara Banda walked away with the game’s player of the match award.
