New York Metro Stars wonderkid,Tassere Kindo has been targeted by Kenya who want him to snub Burkina Faso and play for them.
According to an Ouagadougou leading radio station,Radio Omega FM,the East African nation want the rising youngster Tassere Kindo to join their stable of attacking talent.
Kindo, who was born in Burkina Faso but joined his parents in Kenya in 2007,took up football as his preffered trade to put his immense talent to good use.
The attacking midfielder who wants to model his life along the path of Brazilian star Dani Alves is also eyeing a fine run in international football.
In an interview with the radio station,Kindo revealed that an FKF official has contacted him with a request to join Harambee Stars.
“It was during a tour of a certain official of the Kenyan Federation to convince some players to opt for the national team, so he arrived in my club to supervise one of my partners Ngandi Musyimi who is Kenyan but born in the US.During his stay, he let me know that my game was rhyming with that of Kenya, “explained the 19-year-old star.
“We have kept in touch and he calls me regularly to tell me about the new project of the Kenyan football leaders,” said Tasséré Kindo.
Burkina Faso had already contacted Kindo three years ago but the player is said to have turned down the offer at that time.
Once a target of Spanish giants Levante, Tasséré Kindo has played 26 matches for New York Metro Stars , scoring 6 goals and making 24 assists.
