Dominant Sony Sugar won it’s second consecutive match after silencing home side Western stima 0-2 in a KPL match played at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
Samuel Onyango and Marwa Chamberi were the scorers in a match the sugar millers dominated in the second half.
The first half saw both teams wasteful at goal with Stima’s Batambuze missing the target on several occasion after combining well with Byron Jobita.
The first half ended goalless .
On resumption,Stima brought on Vitalis Okumu for exhausted young boy Ochieng who got his KPL debut. The youngster was so naïve in the match.
Both teams began chasing for the opening goal with Sony looking more active infront of the Stima goal.
Sony’s Samuel Onyango opened the scores with a clinical header from immediate former stima man Justine Monda’s free kick for a 0-1 lead.Western Stima tried hard to press for an equalizer, bringing in Ronald Okoth for Mike Baraza.
Allan Owiny was booked in the 70th minute after time wasting as Western Stima defense got exposed with the introduction of Edwin Oduor for Andrew Ssekayombya and Marwa Chamberi for Herbert Kopany.
Maraw Chamberi scored the second goal to kill off the game after a fine piece of footwork orchestrated by Samuel Onyango and substitute Nicholas Akoko who had earlier replaced Victor Oduor.Chamberi shot past Gabriel Adika after a clever pass from Onyango.
With the three points and six in two matches,The Awendo based side moves to the 12th position with 22 points from 20 matches while Stima remains stagnant at the 8th position with 29 points.
