A footballer whose talent was spotted during a tournament held in Dakar streets in 2016 has landed a professional contract with Senegalese Ligue One side Guediawaye FC.
Bakary Goudiaby was picked by coach Mamadou Faye after the final match of the tournament and was placed in the junior ranks of the team signed a two year contract with the Ligue 1 team.
Excited about the new opportunity, Goudiaby expressed optimism that his entry to the team will make an impact on its output.
“I’m happy with the opportunity I’ve been given, since I’ve been in the club I only have eyes for the pro team and here I am, but I’m not going to stop there,”said Goudiaby.
“My teammates are very friendly and have facilitated my integration because we are a family, I want to thank them all, as well as the President and all my family, and I intend to give my best to deserve this trust,”he added.
He has yet to feauturein the first team game for his new club but sat out in development side game with Yeggo last Friday suggesting he may available in the opening match of the season.
